Wont dispute its a super cheap price but man even if you got these copies free from your rep, after amazon's cut, labour fee for a guy to process/pack and any delivery fee, is there even any money to be made?

  • Hi OP, can we request for a new key if we fail to get it activated before the above said date?

    • Please write an email to our customer service team if there's an issue activate the key. [email protected]

Ah esset, my go to antivirus in the 2000s.
Used to use nonstop free trialkeys posted online.
    Defenders all I use nowadays

  • Does it stack with existing membership?

    • No. You can only renew it.

Is that work on android phone?

  • Any deals on ESET internet security OP?

    • Internet Security is NOD32 with useless bloat that turns an excellent AV product into a Norton-esque resource hog.
You don't need the additional feature-set unless you're a technologically-challenged boomer and you can get virtually all of it with a bunch of free security add-ons for your browser anyway.

Thanks, I prefer it. It certainly is not a resource hog (i have the latest version installed) It scans my network and tells me of any devices trying to connect to my PC (like I had an incoming connection from my mobile to pc, god knows why my phone was trying to connect to my pc by itself). also it has anti-theft software built-in in case my PC gets stolen I can track it. Banking protection when i am doing online payments & purchases. for $22 a year it protects my laptop & desktop both (3 devices for $22 from SAVEONIT.com.au)

  • I've been buying these ESET annual licences for years now.

It's by far and away the cheapest, brand-name AV product you can find and it's consistently ranked in AV Comparatives as one of the best consumer AV products in terms of detection rate/false positives and it's also got a legendary reputation as being one of the most lightweight and resource-frugal AV products with very minimal CPU/memory usage, nag prompts and user interaction required.

*Keys must be activated by 31 Dec 2021

That's a bit of a deal-breaker though. Normally these don't have a use-by date (at least none of the dozens of licences I've purchased in the past did).

  • Deal not working

    • sorry, checked the price again. it's back to $4.99 now

  • Deal unnavailable. Damn!

    • sorry, please check the price again, it's back to $4.99 now

    • we have approx. 2900 in stock

May i ask why people stil buying the antivirus while windows 10 itself already have one built in?

Because it doesn't catch even old stuff like in this review rootkits etc.

Your antivirus is only ever going to be as effective as the user who uses the PC.
There are some common sense that needs to apply when using your PC/Mac/android. Don't install crap from vendors/websites you have not used/dealt with before. Don't open email attachments/urls without confirming who the sender is and why they are sending you the file in the first place.

Don't give your everyday use user account admin rights. Create a seperate admin account to use when only required.

With these simple precautions you can run your PC without antivirus and your still be safe.

If you really have to visit some untrusted site or run an app your not sure if it's safe for whatever reason you can use the built in windows 10 sandbox which will protect your session by opening a virtual instance of windows and will wipe it once your done leaving no trace.

This is where apples iOS ecosystem is so secure. They lock down the entire OS that naieve users can't cause themselves harm. Of course it's not 100% effective as you still get some apps that got pass their censorship and ended up spreading malware but at least the damage is limited due to the nature of how locked down the OS is.

        • windows 10 sandbox

Thank you. This is a handy tip.

  • I dunno. I've lost all enthusiasm for buying AVs since Win10. Speed over security maybe. I think I need a good trojan to wake me up.

    Good deal tho, OP.

    • I can help with that. Whats your email address, or your teamviewer/rdp creds? lol

      🐛🐜

      • That's weird. It's exactly what the guy from Microsoft asked me yesterday on the blower.

        • But i'm legit… I promise.
I just need your credit card details to help raise an emergency (escalation) ticket for you…
MC, Visa or AMEX are all fine. :)

You know, microsoft defender is free….

  • Hey @HTDealAdmin
Do you have 2 or 3 years licenses with the same attractive price?
Can't be bothered renewing it every year……
