Hopefully Braverly Default is price matched at Amazon because Target is atrocious with their delivery

    • 🤞

        Oh shit!

Stop waiting, order from Target… they take another $10 off so I got both BD2 and Hyrule Warriors AoC for $45 total (free delivery >$45)

        • Weird, was that applied before you paid? Not sure how you did that.I owned AOC before and found performance was too off for me.
I'd jump on this and get BD 2 if the ten off was applied to offset the delivery fee.

@pdcmelb: Ah, I just found it was a sign-up bonus… I guess this is my first time using Target online

            • @muwu: Ha, no worries. thanks for the quick reply.
I thought I was missing something obvious :)

            • @muwu: I thought the gaming consoles and/or games are not included in this sign up promo? Good on u if it worked!

        • Did the exact same. Wasnt going to bother with Hyrule but @$45 for the both, it was a no brainer.

I've only ordered from them a couple of times and they've been fine for me personally.

I ordered MH Stories 2 few weeks ago, arrived within 3 business days.

Obviously slower than Amazon, but still okay from my experience.

I’m in NSW. I ordered three times and it was horrible each time. I mostly ordered home, kids clothes and a games or two

        1. Cancelled half my order (okay out of stock) so I didn’t take it that badly

        2. Cancelled full order. Fair enough. Took 726 emails to get money back. Gave me a 10 gift card for the problems

        3. Sent me opened underwear that looked like tried on? Or played with. The 10$ Gift card came out as isn’t real or activated I asked them about it and they said ‘are you sure’.

Haven’t bought since lol. Maybe I’m just jinxed! I’m glad though you haven’t had the issues

        • Yeah I don't blame you there, sounds like a nightmare!

I've only ever ordered games and also a lego set but no issues on those (for now anyway).

I'm in VIC which probably makes a bit of a difference.

How do you price match with Amazon?

      • +1

they mean they hope amazon changes the price themselves to match

  • +5

Mario 3D All Stars is also on sale for $40

    • Thanks, added to OP.

what's wrong with bravely default? I thought its been out for only a few months isn't it?

    • +12

I think its just target not good at their target demographic…

      • +5

Yep - they stocked this game at launch which only really appeals to JRPG players, but didn't stock 51 Worldwide Games (a much more casual friendly game that can appeal to everyone) until way after launch.

        • We could kinda see why they are struggling? ;-)

          • @Jay Nomad: It's good for us, it's one of the rare games you should get an extra copy or two. Not much bad has come from the translation side of things and they kept the game largely intact so it will hold it's value.

Same for Mario All-Stars and Hyrule Warriors, So I would purchase a few extra copies.

    • +1

A bit niche genre I suppose

    • It's a lot worse than the last two bravely default games.

I wouldn't recommend this unless your a hardcore jrpg fan.

      • Glad you didn't hear they removed entire storylines from the second bravely default games.

  • -3

Ugh. With so many store closures I had to buy 2 for free delivery

  • Bravely Default OOS already

  • +2

    BD:II in store only?

  • Its showing that this item is click to collect only now. Unfortunately my order got cancelled at payment.

  • +1

Considering the low stock of this game at most places, I don’t reckon amazon will match it. But who knows.

  • +1

Maybe I'll finally play Mario 64 all the way through!

  • +1

    Amazon have price matched Hyrule.

  • Thanks OP, bought the Hyrule Warriors here Amazon is OOS. Finally used the $5 shopback target gift card

  • +4

Looks like Amazon has matched the 3D All Stars price

  • Damn. BD2 is a great game even for full price let alone 25… same for AoC

  • App is buggy. Won't allow click and collect for calamity either now at checkout due to nothing loading in 'set your store' field. Tried in browser and app. Bezos gets my money this time.

  • Is Age of Calamity worth playing?

    • +1

Loved it. Thought I'd hate it. So fun to play as zelda. Would recommend if you're a zelda fan and it's at a great price

  • +1

Bravery default 2 is amazing, I put 60hours+ to the game!

  • Come on Amazon! I’m in for bravely!

  • Target just gave me "Your order could not be processed", Amazon it is.

  • I'm glad that I ordered click and collect (coming from another store to my local store which is free for orders over $20) before they got rid of it!

  • +9

Bravely price went up on Amazon instead of matching Target… lol

    • Surge pricing?

    • +3

I think Target was previously the cheapest place so when they sold out Amazon no longer needed to match them and returned it to full price.
The time between dropping the price and selling out was too short for Amazon to respond so we never saw Amazon sell for $25
It's a good reminder Amazon is just matching the lowest price offered by competitors and why competition is good for the consumer
Same thing happened to the SSD I posted a few days ago. As soon as Harris Technology ran out stock, Amazon increased the price they were selling at

      • +3

Yeah its always worth reminding people that Amazon crushes competition by stealing ideas and deals not by generating their own.

  • Thanx heaps OP just got notification my click n collect order is ready to pick up for Bravely Default II

  • It says find in store for BD2, and it is not available in the local store. Any possibility to get it at $25?

    • Travel further or use a time machine.

      • Can order a time machine from Target, LOL

    • I guess you try price match elsewhere but very likely you'll get turned down since Target has no stock

  • Did I miss this dang it?? Was waiting for a price match on Amazon 😭

    • Amazon raised their price.

      • Showing as $64 on my Amazon 😒

        • While Target had Bravely in stock Amazon's price was $49. As soon as it turned to instore only at Target amazon's price jumped up to $64.

  • Bought Age of Calamity a few days ago, but when it was delivered, it was clearly a second-hand copy (no plastic around it and has some weird adhesive on the side of the game box). Is that normal?
