  • Comments on the phone please, is it worth buying if dual sims, photos taking and loading speed are the main consideration ?

jb deal has been posted earlier. probably many ppl went crazy and bought, amazon bot got notified, and then matching the price.

    My TL;DR on this phone:
Huge, heavy, LCD, cabled charging, weak camera, reasonable performance, dual SIM, headphone jack.

For this price, a non-Chinese company with local warranty what do you expect? Else go for your typical Xiaomi, and Oppo

    • weird re: the camera because it has zeiss big on it, plus they talk big on the advertisement about how good the camera…. as someone said installing gcam improves (but not sure how much better)

Maybe the cost of Zeiss branding is cheaper than actually making a decent lens

        • well most phone manufacturers are buying lens from others. except sony i think? we just cant make everything in house really. how many lens manufacturer in the world ?

          • +1

@CyberMurning: I was just having a cheap shot at Zeiss. Optical design is very specialised.
You would think if you put your name on something, you would make sure it was first up to your standard.

    • Better than my Mi Max 3 you reckon?

      • I tried out my mi max 3 and didn't realise how slow it was. I'd say performance is better but misses out on the mammoth battery and IR blaster.

        • The battery lasts me 2 days still which is nice but I am never really short of battery banks or charging options. Is the Nokia the same aspect ratio screen as the mi max 3? It looks like it but you can never really tell by the pics.

          • @Mechz: Nah it's 20:9 so a lot less screen area. FHD+ (2400x1080)

          • +2

@Mechz: spot on. had mimax3 and liked it because of the aspect ratio, and big screen, and battery.
            but night camera is meh
other 99.5% phone doesnt have that kind of ratio i think. sad.

    • No 5g?

The main reason people choose Nokia phones is AndroidOne. This means a clean UI without bloatware, regular security updates and OS upgrades.

i dont see any custom roms on xda which is a bummer in the future.

  • What's the Widevine level on this phone?
