    7% Increased Cashback

What are the chances you'll actually get it?

    • +10

      It just won’t track!

came here to say the same thing.

    • same

What's with all the hate towards shopback lately? I haven't had a single issue..

      • +2

Neither have I but they have some serious issues to rectify with people on this site because the voice of the few will often outweigh the thoughts of many.

Shopback app doesnt work/track. Need to use desktop/laptop all the time to ensure it happens.

        • The app has worked fine for me on iOS. I use it where I can as I’ve found it more reliable.

I do make sure I’ve disabled any DNS level blocking prior to using it just in case (PiHole/NextDNS).

All the 20-25% cash back with myer didn’t track for me. Twice now.

      • +1

Lot of people have been shafted. If you haven’t I’m guessing it was a cheap purchase. They always seem to screw up the tracking on big ticket items.

        • Biggest purchase I've done through them was the 90% nordvpn ~$200 cashback - and that worked fine.

ShopBack is Cashrewards’s biggest competitor…what are the chances of a hidden agenda here?

I use both, and have generally no issues with both. However, my preference is ShopBack for eBay stuff via smartphone - something that Cashrewards can’t do (ie. can only do eBay via a PC, but then again, Cashrewards doesn’t have any active eBay offers at the moment).

  • iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro Max are eligible as of 11 Jan 21
    Does it really work?
If I wanna buy iPhone 12 and get 7% ShopBack?

    • or you could just get $100 off at jbhifi, then stack that with 5% off gift cards and you get the even bigger discounts and phone instantly…..

this deal is a measly an extra 2% off, given that you can get discounted gift cards for at least 5% off most major retailers. Stack any of the regular (relatively small discounts for most apple products) sales on and you actually have a decent price.

Don't know why this is deal, this is despite my having relatively positive experiences with shopback.

  • I'm a bit confused. The M1 MacBooks are excluded right?

    • +1

Looks like only the MBP…probably because nobody is buying the MBP atm because the air is better and cheaper…until they release the genuine MBP rather than the rebadged Macbook that won't change

  • So what’s included after all. Better off to wait another Afterpay sort of discount.

  • Apple iphone 12 64gb = $1255 (after cashback)

  • +9

Good luck. If you buy $2000-worth gear you'll expect $140 cashback in three months - standard waiting time for Shopback.

You may also not get it, because you clicked something wrong, or because the browser has some strange colliding extension, or just because - it's Shopback. You'll know in three months.

Good luck - just don't assume you'll get the money.

  • Are HomePod mini and refurbished items eligible? Thanks.

    • +1

Yeah also interested in whether refurbished items are eligible.

      • I contacted support and they said that refurbished items aren’t eligible for cashback. unfortunate

Bought $3k worth of Apple last year.

Got denied on the cashback for no reason.

Recommend people take this deal with a grain of salt and look for more material deals…

Edit: Took them 5 months and constant follow-up for them to say no… Waste of time.

    • +3

Yup - same with me - was during the Cyber Monday sales - bought a MacBook Pro and got the same BS as you - never again!

    • Not to mention this is for only a slightly bigger discount than just paying regular prices at any retailer with discounted gift cards.

  • Here's hoping…..needed to get a handset for dad - hopefully $65'odd back.

  • +4

they deny large cashbacks whenever they feel like pocketing your commision.

  • +3

I have experienced the same thing with the cashback being denied after several disputes, also on a macbook. Like said above, small transactions are ok… but larger ones, never come. Even then, some small transactions never came or denied. I'm so sick of this, should we all lodge a complain to ACCC cumulatively? Maybe then will we get some reply and not get dicked around

  • Does shopback give cashback on education store
