  • Ordered this earlier. Don't forget the extra 16 savings from the news subscription.

  • Also Kogan's is international version vs Gearbite's Australian version.

    • It specified (AU/NZ) model but on the other hand it did not say Australian partner like the other V9 listed.

      • Oh it does sorry, I just saw the big "Direct Import" banner which is confusing.

  • This is even cheaper than V9 on Kogan website. However this doesn't have carpet head. Not bad for $249. Does model (Au/International ) makes a difference, apart from plug socket?

  • -1

I think I saw this the other day on sale in Costco for $189………correct me if wrong.

  • Aslo get this from Kogan and get carpet head for $80 for total $330, which works to be still cheaper than Gearbite Ebay promotion of $360?

  • Maybe ask Gearbite to price beat or at least match it ^^

    • Would be nice but don't like the chances - the advantage is getting it now not in 6-7 weeks. Also the ebay offer includes shipping, once you add shipping the difference for me works out to less than $20 which I feel is worth paying rather than waiting.

      • You can get free shipping with Kogan First, there's also $16 off Plus Rewards to stack on top.

Delivery window seems to have extended however. Mine is still 4 of December which I'm more than happy to wait as I get $30 cash back from CBA.

        • Unfortunately Kogan First doesn't apply to my postcode so I'm up for $22 shipping. So it's only really worth it if you have a CBA card to get the $30 cash back. Even then it's splitting hairs once you consider the 6 week wait and the loss of gearbites local warranty.

  • +1

Not sure on checking Kogan site it says ships on jan4th

    • My order still says 4th of December, reckon too many people ordering it.

  • Thanks! Got it for $233 after $16 discount via Herald Sun, and free shipping with Kogan First trial.

  • Kogan Extended Care worth adding?

    • +1

Nope. Google extended warranties and read up on them. They're a scam

      • Thanks! Ordered without it.

  • Thanks, ordered! Sadly, ships on 4th Jan, but I've combined it with the first customer credit + CBA Rewards + Kogan First trial, so that makes it even better.

  • Keen but jan is so far away :(

    • You can use a broom until then.

  • Thanks all for these tips! Looking forward to vacuuming with the new toy in Jan 2021!

Any tips for making this most of this free trial of Kogan First?

I better remember to cancel before they charge me :p

  • Anyone received theirs yet? Mine was meant to deliver a week ago but it's still being processed.

    • Same, I get $20 credit when asking them why it's late and agree to wait. Afraid we are waiting till after Christmas…

      • Thinking of ordering this, but curious, did you both get yours yet? I see on the site it says delivery from 4th Jan, but then a note that items will ship first come, first serve. Just thinking if I order now, if it'll end up coming in Feb or something lol.

        • Nope, my bet is we are due for 4th of January. Will let you know next week.

          • @Bigboomboom: Okay thanks! Yeah would be frustrating for you. Always dislike dealing with kogan!

  • +1

Did anyone get their Dreame V10 or at least says "shipped' ? -_-

    • I have this message on my order history:

      "PAYMENT PROCESSED"
"We're running slightly behind but you can expect to hear from us soon!"

    • +1

Nope, I tried contacting Kogan (useless) customer service again and they said they will check with warehouse for update.

Like wth, they were still selling it as presale up until Saturday/Sunday with 04/01/2021 as shipping date.

If you haven't already you should complain to them. I got $20 credit back in mid December.

      • Same here. Only instead of getting credit, they kindly offered to cancel my order when I simply asked where the item was. Gee thanks, Kogan.

        • Me too! I was offered a refund and I had paid with gift cards! Terrible offer from generous Ruslan Kogan!

        • I ordered just after preorder shipping date was changed to 4th Jan. I might give this week and then claim the $20 credit. Or should I try now?

  • +2

as above. anyone got a shipping notice yet? the 4th is goooone…

    • i hoped on the site and made a complaint - it seems they want 2 days leeway.

    • +2

Really frustrating, Kogan's wonderful customer care just replied that we are checking with warehouse. Haven't received any update from them in last 2 days. I am going to raise a customer complaint in ACCC if they don't ship within 2 days. As per my initial order confirmation, the item was supposed to be shipped by 4 Dec 2020.

      • +1

Same here. It was meant to ship at the start of December but had heard nothing since.

        • +4

I am seriously considering to report to ACCC on the ground of 'Accepting payment without intending to supply'. Because, I think Kogan will offer a refund, but after almost 2 months I am not going to accept that ( specially as gearbyte and other deals are already gone).

  • +3

Yeh, wont be too thrilled if they decide to cancel/refund the order as I have now missed out on the gearbite offer and will be stuck paying full price! :(

Happy to give it another week or two but if another gearbite/ebay offer pops up I might just cancel this and pay the difference.

Contacted Kogan today to ask when I might see my order, as it’s still showing estimated despatch date 4/1/21. They were actually quite quick to respond, however more acknowledgement of the issue than any update. Will wait any see If I hear anything further…

“Thank you for your patience, I'm sorry to hear that your order is taking us longer than usual.
I have asked our warehouse to provide me with an urgent update on your Xiaomi Dreame V10 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (AU/NZ Model).
I will get in touch as soon as I hear back, your patience in this matter is greatly appreciated.
I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience may cause you.”

  • +1

I received this response from Kogan when I emailed them last week for a status update:

    "Thanks for getting in touch.

I would like to sincerely apologise for this delay and the lack of communication from the dispatch team in relation to this as it's not the usual level of service we expect.

After following up on your order I can confirm that there has been a delay in receiving the stock to our warehouse.

However, I have been informed that your Xiaomi Dreame V10 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (AU/NZ Model) is now expected to be dispatched on the 10th of January.

Once your order has left our warehouse, you will be sent a dispatch email with tracking information and courier details.

From dispatch, delivery usually occurs in 3-7 business days for metro areas or 4-10 business days to regional areas.

We appreciate your patience, please let us know if this date is not suitable for you as we can still have it cancelled.

In the meantime, if there is anything else I can assist with, please let me know."

    Getting a bit suss now.

    • +1

10th of January was yesterday and it was Sunday.

  • +2

I asked them about dispatch date and was offered a refund for the second time!

"As a result of the holiday period, our warehouses are currently working hard to ensure every purchase made is being dispatched as soon as possible.

If you no longer wish to wait, we can certainly cancel the order and arrange a refund instead."

    • +2

It is obvious customer service has no idea about inventory.

  • +1

Jesus h christ. They're now telling me to wait until march. Not sure what I can do in this situation since I don't want just the refund.

  • +1

Same Got email that ordered will be shipped March 1st. I have asked for refund. Will buy from gearbite sale whenever it comes up.

  • +1

“We regret to inform you that, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to ship your Xiaomi Dreame V10 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (AU/NZ Model) as quickly as originally expected.

We are now expecting your order to be dispatched by 1-Mar-2021”

Idiots. Did they not know this on 3 Jan? They obviously have no overdue order alerts/ process.
It’s only because we have all been chasing them they have checked the situation and sent out this email

    • +3

Got the same email not long ago… I think the biggest problem is they're still selling it and showing it as available and in stock for dispatch in 1 - 2 days

      https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/xiaomi-dreame-v10-cordless-hand…

I've lodged my complaint with fair trading about it… Not expecting a lot out of it, but if enough of us complain maybe something will be done about this type of BS

      • +1

I have the exact same opinion. Not sure if fair trading or any state agencies will be able to do anything. I have sent a formal letter to Kogan through email in the format available in ACCC website. Will wait for 5 business days before lodging the complaint to ACCC. Similar to you, I am not expecting a lot out of it but what Kogan is doing is completely wrong/ unethical. Seems like they are selling the stock in much higher price after receiving the stock. Was Presale kind of a fundraising event?

      • +1

I emailed them about this and they said the below:

Having this checked, I can confirm that you are referring to Xiaomi Dreame V10 Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner (AU Model) only which is different from what you purchased.

        Really bullshit Kogan.

        • +1

Complete and utter BS from Kogan. The product descriptions and specifications on the two pages match identically other than the names.

          • +1

@dmouse81: BS 😡 they just tweaked a few words in description. Otherwise the specs are exactly same. Have taken screenshots as evidence. I guess they do this very often and get away through the loopholes.

            • +1

@bzbargain21: It was the same name before. Seriously Kogan.

              • @SR9: Instead of AU/Nz model, this time they wrote AU model. Thus it is not same item.. what a logic!!! Well played Kogan.

        • They still keep selling our model with shipping in May.

  • +1

Got the same email. So annoying. Going to cancel this. Lost money for 1 month of Kogan first too.

    • Same here :( not happy at all.

  • +3

Never buy pre-sale items from kogan ladies & gents. They almost always screw it up. Been burnt a few times myself.

  • Does anyone know how can I cancel this? Can't find the cancel option.

    • From your orders list, click on "Manage Order" and the cancel cancel button should be under the delivery info on that page

  • Told 1st March also. Can't cancel because already bought head accessory from elsewhere. Would cancel if there were a similar deal elsewhere.

    • Same :( Oh well at least wasnt urgent…
      Sigh!

    • +1

Same, plus I used credits & CBA rewards so it's about $190 for me. CBA already credited my account though, so if I cancel it it's free money?

      • I think it will be free money. In my case, Kogan marketplace seller cancelled an order but still I received the CBA rewards.

    • +1

Exact same ship. Now I have the carpet head with no vacuum cleaner for 3 months :( Guess I'll wait

  • I've bought the carpet head as well for the vacuum. I'll wait to see if Gearbite has a sale before I cancel

    • This is my plan too. bought the carpet head off ebay. Will cancel this if a v10 comes on sale before this ships. I'd rather pay more from gearbite than give my money to Kogan. Been screwed over twice now due to this pre-sale crap. Fool me once etc etc I guess.

  • +2

Kogan continues to bullshit about their product. Please see below:

TheXiaomi Dreame V10 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (AU/NZ Model) you purchased is supplied from our international warehouse, meaning it may be an international product, which may have slight differences to Australian stock, but is genuine, guaranteed to work in Australia and is covered by the Customer Charter and comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

While the Xiaomi Dreame V10 Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner (AU Model) is sourced from Australian suppliers and is official Australian stock, and is covered by a manufacturers warranty.

    • What exactly is the difference between "covered by manufacturers warranty" and being covered by Australian Consumer Law? Also, what sort of time frame would be looking at in terms of 'years of warranty' in the case of both versions do you think?
