That’s nothing to sneeze at….. I’ll see myself out.

  • +3

I had a couple of these bottles and they worked well, until the lids gave way about 3 months in.

    • -2

So like every drink bottle ever I guess.

      • +3

Say what? I've never had the lid of a reusable drink bottle fail after 3 months or even after years of use.

"Stocks are extremely limited, check your local store for availability."
Like TP, pasta, and hand sanitiser.

    Valued at $30. LOL.

    • +1

      $30 as in 30 Peso 🤣

  • -4

Corona cannot kill coronavirus. It requires 60% + alchohol.

  • +12

    Corona logic

Buy cheap metal water bottle $10
Add our logo designs so you can advertise Corona for us.
Charge YOU extra $20 for being our billboard.

They actually sell these bottles in store for $30!

On the plus side.. no one else will drink out of your water bottle for fear of virus.

    • Add our logo designs so you can advertise Corona for us.

      You mean like most brands?

  • +1

    "valued at $30" FFS! Serious?

    • They sell them separately for $30 so they literally are valued at $30

      • You’re confusing cost with value. Just because the bottles are sold for $30 doesn’t mean they are worth $30.

        • +1

Based on that, Apple Air Pods worth..$2? Bose QC35's $15, iPhone 11 $100.

This water bottle is probably on par with the above products RRP.

        • If they are bought for $30 that is their value at the time of the transaction.

        • I think you have cost confused with value… if they are sold for $30 they are valued at $30 regardless of the cost of manufacture, or how much you think they are worth.

          • @ripoffmerchant: See below comment re having been given away recently. Value is not set by the price.

  • +17

Last year after end of this promotion, these bottles were sold for $1

  • +2

Its $50 for a case which is a bit much IMO but there ya go…

  • +10

    This deal will go viral

  • +35

Alternatively, share a water bottle and you could end up with a free case of corona

  • +13

    Sick deal.

      • +3

That's the worst thing they could do!

          • +2

@rooster7777: You know they are only 'losing' money due to the fact people aren't going out now and buying alcohol in pubs/clubs etc. Same downturn every other business is facing right now except certain sectors.

Changing the name is only going to be pissing on their heritage and would cause them to waste even more money.

            • -6

@kronicmacstigator: They'll be the butt of derogatory comment for eons… remember the queen of england? why did that family change their name? remember australian downs like germantown, that became hahndork… remember the mitsubishi pajero marketed in south america as (profanity)… remember goldstar that changed their name to LG…. the list is endless, for very good reason.
And pissing on the heritage of a brewery? I'm laughing at that phrase.

              • +4

                @rooster7777:

goldstar that changed their name to LG

Actually the brands Lucky and Goldstar merged to become LG.

              • @rooster7777: Excuse me? The brewery was founded in 1922 and Corona itself was started in 1925/1926… almost 100 years!

If there is one thing you do not f**k with, it's peoples alcoholic beverages!

Laugh all you want but the facts are there in black and white! If you were the CEO in charge of changing the name you might as well just find the tallest building in town and throw yourself off it. Would be a lot quicker and cheaper!

Changing the name would be literally corporate suicide.

      • Maybe they could change the brand name to Ebola. Would that make you happy?

      • Wuhan has seen new cases drop. So corona virus cases could slow by June. People know about it now and take precautions. Corona is a strong brand so hard to imagine it being deleted.

        • New cases in China have almost stopped for a while now.

      • +13

Carlton Cold has shared its name with a virus for years. Still sells fine.

        • +1

          This deserves more green votes.

      • There's no such thing as bad publicity!

  • Corona for terrorism, drink then cough, then YouTube propaganda.

  • -6

Does it come with the virus for free?

  • Poor beer company. How does their brand recover from the virus?!

    • -1

They just need to create a new drink called virus.

    • +5

      They don't…

Sales will increase when people start venturing from their homes again. If anything all the meme's have increased awareness of their brand. When social events start happening again I won't be surprised in the least if they post a record couple of quarters.

It's going to be a light hearted poke of 'I survived Corona 2020'. Instagram and social media will be going off!

    • +2

apparently they weren't doing real good before the virus, if they can figure out the right spin they can come out of this better than they went in but all i've seen so far is them shitting themselves

  • +4

Instead of a shitty promo bottle give us 50% off a slab, that’ll make it sell.

  • +1

There's an inscription underneath the bottle… Made in China
    Ba-dum-tss

  • Saw someone at BWS with a slab of Corona and his missus had this bottle so I assume offer is available there too, unless they were buying it, which I highly doubt.

  • Hope this will increase corona beer sales

  • +1

If you don't want to pick up a case of Corona, you need to keep your hands away from your mouth.

    • +1

Wise words. But the reverse is also true - if you DO want to pick up a case of Corona, keep your hands away from your mouth. How can you pick up a case if your hands are on or in the vicinity of your face?

  • I refuse to even acknowledge any offers that include a roll of toilet paper but this I can get behind!

  • -5

They were literally giving these away at my local (bonnyrigg)

    • Was this recently? I should check it out.

      • I work at a bottleshop and if you're nice enough I give them for free, that being said they're not worth anything near $30, maybe $5-10 max.

  • +1

It's probably a good thing that Toyota dropped the Corona years ago.

  • lol bought a case of virus on a bottle cheers.

  • Funny how the FirstChoice deal didn’t get much love but this one was more viral?……. it’s all about the timing in these deals eh?

  • Why is the blue bottle already dented?

  • yeah nah. Put everyone at risk using these corona bottles

Oh, My little Wuhan one, Wuhan one,
When you gonna leave me with
    THY CORONA?

Eating snakes and bats for lunch, yeah, bats for lunch,
Eating snakes and bats for lunch, 'til you
    FIND CORONA!

Never gonna stop giving us such a dirty virus,
Airborne of by touch, spread to us,
And that is how I got
My aye, aye, aye aye, Woo!
    MY CORONA!

  • Has this post gone viral yet?

  • +1

anyone else think that Corona should start to sell cartoons with 19 drinks in them?? They most well go all in on the association.

    • +1

"buy three 6-packs get a bottle free" promotion?

  • La virus mas fina.
