yes I remember when someone gave my kids a prezzy that required 8 x AA, so they bought them a pack of these to go with it.
I laughed and said once they run out, that's it, they don't get replaced. They lasted a few hours.
The giver called me a TA, which amused me.

If they weren't such low value I'd say take them back for a refund on account of 'not fit for purpose.'

I just got these for $2. Remind me of the "Heavy Duty" 50pk I got from the post office - I've already gone through most of those batteries!
