Clothes Dryer 4-6kg

Am after a decent quality/brand Clothes Dryer. Tumble dry with ~4-6kg capacity. My budget is $~150-250. I know I cannot expect a decent energy rating so probably settle for 1.5-2 stars.

I saw Aldi have a special on the Stirling 6kg for $249 http://u.lasoo.com.au/Offer/stirling-clothes-dryer/22025
but bit hesistant as I do not know the brand. Did a google search which revealed a couple people with heating issues. Also this dryer used to be $269 reduced further from previous year.

Am in Sydney.

Prefer NEW however may consider second-hand pending your input

Might be a good place to start - you can goto their stores in Syd - I don't know much about dryers tho and dont know if anywhere is cheaper?

    • +1 for 2nds world. if they dont have a seconds model available, get them to check if other stores have it and get it delivered to you.
simpsons and westinghouse dryers are great. I got my 5kg westinghouse (dent on one side) from 2nds world for about $270
appliances online is also great with free delivery. they also match prices.

Get one with Auto Sensing (of the dryness). Honestly, you will never regret it. No need to guess how long to run it - it switches off when the clothes are at the dryness that you want.

You'll save on energy, and your clothes won't come out as dry as cardboard. If you like to iron your clothes, then leave them a little damp and it makes ironing a breeze.

The most commonly known one is the Fisher and Paykel. That Aldi one MIGHT just be such a device. Or it might just be an electronic timer.

  • Hi guys

does ALdi still have that dryer or does anyone know of any other good deals right now??
