PRAWNS

Last deal we have had was from gearbest for $549ish.
The specs we have for this vaccy blew my mind.
Machine learning skills with an app support, mop+sweep. Just too good.

    • Not AU warranty though

      • Comes with 1year warranty

      • We've all read about the quality of Shopping Square warranty.

And are you sure Shopmonk's warranty isn't in Australia?

        • This Warranty is ONLY applicable on products bought from www.shopmonk.com.au or its affiliates for which the manufacturer/brand of the product being sold does not offer warranty in Australia.

        • @whatevs5656:

Right and that doesn't say warranty is/isn't handled in Australia.

But if Shopmonk organise a courier, who cares where its repaired?

10.Where Seller authorizes warranty service of a Product, Seller will organize for an authorized courier to pick up the Product during business hours (between 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday) and deliver it to the appropriate authorized repair center. Product must be safely and securely packaged for transport. In this situation, Seller, will cover the cost of transport of the serviced Product to and from the Customer.

          And also importantly
Under Monk Warranty, the seller will try to fix your item within 14 business days from the day it is received at its center, however under exceptional circumstances, if spare parts are not available, it may take longer that the defined 14 days . If Seller is not able to fix the product within the normal timeframe, we will offer you a replacement or refund the full amount paid at the time of purchase.

Sounds like a pretty good warranty to me. I don't care if its repaired in Sibera or Sth Sydney, so long as they do it within 3wks.

          Response from SS:

          Dear XXXXX,

          Thank you for your query.

We would like to confirm this item comes with 12 Months warranty. As confirmed by the manufacturer/supplier, all units are fully covered by warranty and fully compatible for use in Australia.

If there is any problem with the item within the warranty period, please contact us and our technical support team would follow up to provide all the necessary warranty procedure details.

If the unit is required to be returned for warranty service, it is to be returned (via post) to our technical support department in Sydney.

          Best Regards,

$200 more for it to drag a sponge?

    • This^ Is it still possible to get the old model for 300 odd?

      • Closest you can get is $375ish at the moment. Giant PITA. Apparently they’re thin on the ground, probs due to this newer option.

        • This newer option which does sfa more but costs an extra 200 bucks

        • @Jackson: bigger capacity, bigger battery, and better zoning isn’t SFA, whether or not you think that’s worth $200

@readeral: of all the people I know who bought one, exactly none of them believe it needed any of that, they are nice to haves it seems

Never under estimate the time (thus money) or even relationship saved by allowing the vaccy to give you a scrub in the morning whilst passed out drunk on the floor.

  • I would get gen1 over this. The only true mopping robot is the scooba. Puts down water and sucks up water into the dirty tank. Not interested in cloth type mopping.

    • Hopefully the third version will have that feature.
