  • This is a good price. I got mine on launch day at jb but lg gave a set of free earphones worth about $100. However S9 is due to be announced in feb at MWC and i would wait for that instead.

    • It's not even a year, they're releasing another one?

      • Do you know that iPhone X was released 3 months after iPhone 8?

    • Did you already received the free earphones? Because I'm still waiting for mine.

      • i got the earphones and sold them on immediately at least a month ago.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNWu39ou18k blotchy and uneven lighting with LG OLED screen. Still too expensive. Will wait for S9.

This issue was fixed in later batches of the phone, mine is perfect as far as I have tested it.

The v30 is an all rounder kind of phone, its not excellent at anything, but it doesn't compromise in many areas at all.

The worst thing I can find is the front facing camera is a bit on the low MP end, but unless you're a selfie queen it's probably ok.

The quad dac is excellent if that kind of thing appeals.

I'll be getting this phone with price protection j in my credit card. I assume this phone will drop in price dramatically over time.

        • Right you are, sorry that's one thing I haven't really used.

Another point to commend is recorded audio and video, it does a great job even at concerts:

For stills, people have had better success with the Google Camera ports from the Pixel

        • @ozturtle:

Yeah, the camera is getting a bit of flak, but in reality, whilst it's not as good at the best phones, it's still pretty damn good.

The only reason i got v30 is because of the quad dac audio. No other current gen phone has this.

    • LG G6. Came out less than a year ago. Hard to argue it’s last gen.

    • Your name tells me you're in denial.

Grey Import / Overseas Stock with no local warranty.

I'd pay $100 extra to get 2 years of local warranty

LG V30+ from buymobileau for $807 if anyone interested.

    • You are comparing apples with oranges !!

      Grey Import vs local stock

      • +1

I didn't compare it whatsoever. It's another option for anybody who's interested in and not having 1 grant. They also have local repairs with free postage and replacement if it's not repairable. Sound not bad I reckon. There's 200 bucks price difference and consider that Allphones review is terrible on productreview website. 1.7 star for Allphones and 2.9 star for Buymobile.

          • Allphones is now owned by MobileCiti, who has a great record of serving people here at Ozbargain. I suggest you to compare Buymobile eBay store rating (89.6% Positive feedback) to Allphones/Mobileciti ebay store rating (99.8% Positive feedback)

          • Yes, there is $200 difference, but then you get 2 years of warranty directly from LG, unlike in-house warranty from Buymobile.

          • Also, one can claim TRS, if travelling overseas. But you don't get a GST invoice from Buymobile.

They also have local repairs with free postage

Still can't be compared to Manufacturer warranty and ACL.

  • V30+ is $999 at JB now, so this isn't really worth considering.
