  • Warning: This game is apparently a mess. Fun… but a mess.

    • Not even close to being a mess. Been playing since day one on One X.

      • Ah, perhaps it's better on the X. All I've heard is negative press… I think IGN gave it 5/10

        • -1

It’s in day one preview form (first update released today), about 6-7 months behind PC development. It’s nowhere near finished. People seem to be struggling to comprehend what this means.

        • -1

@aja12: People struggle because you don't release "previews" as paid games.

It's a badly coded piece of garbage and the devs aren't going to change that any time soon when they already have your money.

        • +1

@StoneSin: It is clearly labelled 'Preview' and warns you at purchase and when you start the game. Paid previews are not a new concept. If you can't comprehend this then don't buy games in the 'Preview Program'. Seems to be any reason to whinge when it comes to Xbox. If Sony had a preview program it would no doubt be the best thing ever.

        • @sallan75: A warning doesn't detract from it being a really bad move.

        • @StoneSin: How much time have clocked with the Xbox One version? I’ve got about 10 hours, am yet to experience any significant bugs. Have had an absolute blast the entire time. First update was released a week after release. You don’t know what you’re talking about, you’re regurgitating click bait N4G articles.

        • @StoneSin: They have sold over 16 millions copies on PC and constantly have the highest active players for a FPS. It has already sold over 1 million on XB1. So it doesn't seem like a bad move to me. The only issue is the howler monkeys who don't understand game previews and need to tell everyone on the net about it.

        • @aja12: You are lucky, from what I hear of users.

        • @sallan75: Yes. The hype train was real. They copied an already popular concept and ran with it. I don't blame them for basically flogging a dead horse to get some quick cash.

        • @StoneSin: Seems far from dead.

        • @sallan75: It's been done before, many, many times. Nothing new this time and nothing will be new the next time.

        • @StoneSin: Not many things original on the planet these days. No need to get worked up about it.

        • @sallan75: Not worked up. Just sharing why not to buy this game.

    • There was a patch today on the xbox version to help with the issues.

Not really sure, I have the PC version.

I have no idea how someone can pay this much for such a game devoid of any real content. It's not a new idea, it's not a hard idea, it's not well done, it's just something that was made and somehow got popular. Reminds me of Flappy Bird.

    • Obviously you don't know what fun is.

      • -2

Obviously I know what work is, and I work hard, play hard.

        • Does work hard, play hard involve trawling comments sections on the internet and leaving stupid comments?

        • @aja12: I wouldn't know. I've never done such a thing, so it's possible that it doesn't.

    • +1

Says the guy that hasn't played it …

      • I don't buy things that don't warrant my money. I've played this game before.

    • Okay.

It's $34 at JB Hi-Fi (physical box with download code printed on slip inside).

Or cheaper with discounted JB Hi-Fi giftcards, such as the 15% off deal from PayPal's ebay store.

  • +1

A huge saving of 55c from both Big W and JB HiFi.

Why have you posted this twice like it's some kind of great deal?

  • +1

This game is included with Xbox One X for a limited time. Microsoft, JB Hi Fi, eB games have them. Other retailers probably will not do it (even though they should - i.e. Harvey Norman). So if you plan to get an XB1X, don't buy this.

I am thinking about selling my code for this game for $30 on feeBay (probably should sell for less - $30 is still too much for this game probably). You need XBox Live to play this game. I am hopeless at this type of games.

    • I'll buy it for 30.

  • Wait.. the PC version is cheaper?

    • +2

It was ~$20 AUD earlier in the week but it normally goes for 35 or a bit less like $28

  • Compared to JB, it's not really a deal. As stated, it's actually cheaper at JB with one of the 15% off discount codes, but it's effectively the same price even without one. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/platforms/xbox-one/…

So not much of a "special price deal".

OP - I placed an order for this today and I still haven't received my code. I didn't even receive and email after ordering, but I was charged.
