So I took advantage of the offer here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/330148 and ordered some of them 3D Puzzles.
And after a few weeks of abandonment in the bottom of the drawer, I managed to have a free Sunday to take one on - and here is my result:

Note that there was this one very small piece left over!! wich you can see on one of the very last pictures.
And just before installing the final "rods" to the ends of the wings I discovered that I had installed the wings the wrong way around (printed pattern on the wrong side).
Since the included instructions are on a rather badly photocopied A4 paper it was an easy mistake to make.
All in all, I'm happy with the result - took me 4,5 HOURS!!! (including the time to make 2 cups of coffee and 4 sandwiches) but a sense of accomplishment for a day-to-day grinder like myself: PRICELESS!
If anyone else has done theirs I would be interested in seeing your results!
