Hi guys wanting to start designing my house have a play around with different flooring and wall colours and everything inside really just wondering if anyone knows of a program to use for this,

Rather than starting from scratch, it's probably worth getting a draughtsman or architect (either working for the builder or separate) and get them to create the plan from your ideas, or find an existing plan that is close to what you want and just have it modified. Or is your design a 'Grand Designs' kind of home? :)
The draughtsman for our builder used a program called Chief Architect. He was able to send me the file during the planning process and I could open it in a trial (read only) version of the program so I could view the plan in 3D with walkthroughs, add textures for checking colours, etc to get a feel of what it would look like.
