Surely, this should be an easier one to implement. Just as Digg has the option to open the link in a new window (or tab), I think it would be useful here. Id like to look at the bargain then read/write comments on OZBargain.
Also, surely OZbargain has grown enough to be out of beta? Keep up the good work Scotty.

As for middle click, I only have 2 buttons on the lappy. No big deal, only an extra click.

I might change it similar to Digg's viewing preference so users who surf single handed with a two button mouse can still open it in a new window.

This feature has now been implemented.
As you a user, you can go to your account preference page ("Account" at top of the page, then "Edit" tab, then "Preference"), and at near the end of the page where options are, you can tick the check box that says "Deals Open in New Window". Save, and then you'll get what you guys have been asking for.
This is optional for the registered users. Guests and the default behaviour is still opening the deals in the same window.

Don't you all middle-click on the item to open them in a new window/tab? :) It is easy to open the deals on a different window (set target="blank" on the anchor tag for example). However there is no way to override and open the deals in the same window if target has been set.
As of Beta. Well it is still under development but I shall push out the new theme sometime this week which gets rid of "beta" on the logo :)
