  • WOW
Colour laser for 169 O_0 OMG! gotta read more about this printer lol :) too good to be true lol

  • $169? That will be too expensive :)

According to Shopbot, the cheapest HP Colour LaserJet 1600 is only $339, which brings down to $139 with $200 cashback! Although it has been voted "mediocre" from the readers of CNet but it is still very cheap for a colour laserjet!

    • but you still need to pay postage

  • yeh and i also realised the toners cost 100 bucks each lol, thats for 1 single colour ><

    • Got a friend working in HP Singapore as part of QA management team for printers, and he said HP can afford to sell reliable printers cheaply because they make all the money from the consumables…

  • 8PPM? Isn't that a bit too slow?

The Samsung deal was better IMO, and the CLP-300/n series had better specs than the HP 1600/2600n.

  • any idea what cartirdge prices are ?

    • HP Color LaserJet 1600 uses HP Q6000A toner cartridge, which you you can check the price on staticICE (currently $75 is the cheapest).

  • if anyone has one of these and can tell me what they print photos on photo paper like I am interested

  • One of my friend has one n he is disappointed at the print quality.

  • Umm not sure if it's too late or if there's some catch I can't see, but if you act fast and purchase five of the cartridges (eg Q6000A, Q6001A, etc) within the next week you could also get a free nintendo wii.

So $350 for printer, $450 for 5 spare cartridges and for ($800 - $200 cash back = ) 600 bucks you have a new colour laser printer, a year's worth of toner, and a nintendo wii.

Personally i'd go the 2600n. I have the 2600dn and am stoked.

If i weren't so lazy i'd get it all and sell it on ebay.
