The Barista-less Cafe

Federation Square, corner of Swanston and Flinders streets
April 13-15, 7am-2pm
Free

The event offers free coffee to all as DeLonghi launches PrimaDonna Elite, a coffee machine which uses an app and bluetooth for a barista-like coffee without the barista.

Melburnians are invited next week to a modern, Italian-inspired cafe to create their own cup of coffee, whether it is for the morning energy boost or afternoon pick-me-up.

Ranging from strong espressos and weak cappuccinos to skinny lattes and macchiatos, the menu offers everyone’s favourite coffee, exactly the way they like it. And with no lip from anyone about their choices.

Coffee aficionados add beans, water and milk and the machine does the rest.

The futuristic machine retails from $3199. While that’s a lot of beans to anyone, serious coffee buffs demand the best.

You'll need to download the app http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/coffee/primadonna-eli…

Isn't is just pressing hot water through grained coffee - how does the app or bluetooth help… The rise of the idiots :)

You can use Bluetooth to upload to Facebook Twitter instagram and tinder to let people know you are having a coffee

    ROI:
    Small coffee = $3
    $3199/3 = 1065
2.92 years worth of barista made coffees (assumes one a day)
And that's just to pay for the unit, with no beans, milk, etc.
