LED Downlights from CLIXMO

Hi guys, has anyone bought LED downlights from these guys?

I wanted to change the lights in my house and these look like really good LED downlights.

$12 for a 13W downlight was by far the cheapest I could find. Also they have 6 years warranty.

(doesn't mention 13w in the Gumtree post but I've rang them and confirmed they are $12 also)

I can't find any reviews though so if anyone has experience with them please share. Thanks.

  • I was interested in one of their switches, so ordered a dimmable switch, tried it out on one of our LED downlights we had but was constantly flickering, need to call them to find out what the problem is. I ordered a single gang switch for the rooms so let's see how that goes. As for their downlights I can't comment sorry.

    • Note that most LED lights and LED globes are NOT DIMMABLE.

      • Can't remember who made our LEDs but they are dimmable.

      • Coles in Somerville Vic have dimmable ones for $16 each!

  • get free energy saving ones?
I got mine changed recently, they're brighter than the halogen lights I had previously.

  • I installed Sunnly lighting Australia 10w. Pretty good, wide coverage. If these lights are brighter, then it is a bargain.

  • +1

Op is in Qld I think its only been a Vic initiative ,those Halogens get so hot if from Bunnings

  • I suppose at $12, if it lasts two years you're laughin.

    • Yeah, assuming you have plugs in the ceiling otherwise you need to pay for an electrician to put plugs in the ceiling. It costs much more than the lights. Also try the lights out before buying. Listen for buzzing noises in the transformer. The buzzing noises drive me crazy.

  • I ordered 20 units, let's see how it goes.
It turned out to be 12W not 13W but for $12 it still looks good. Dodgy as I'll quote what their rep told me "Just for your information, 12W and 13W LED downlights have the exact same amount of lumen output and number of LED bulbs. They are exactly the same but people are not aware of that."

After initial installation to put plugs in the ceiling I can just pull the plug out and claim warranty (6 years).

  • Thankyou. No I have multiple switches so this option may not be very economical for me either…
