Which of their beers are in the 4-pack ???

    • 2 X golden, 2x pale but it's new brand so not sure if it's the same recipe as before or not.

Wow. When I go to Phillip island the iga liqor always has the 6 pack on market day special for $10. Beautiful beer and if it comes with the ginger beer that is reason alone to try.

    • is it alcoholic ginger beer?

does the pack include their Porter ???

Hatlifter stout and the scotch ale are pretty good but the rest of the beers in their mixed six were awful when i last had the them (about a month ago). The special edition white beer was undrinkable sub-homebrew swill. I noticed they had a rebrand recently though, so I wonder if they're finally ditching the 'most awarded brewery in the world' schtick and focussing a bit more on their product.

    • Hatlifter stout

      that's the one I was thinking of…. yum !!!

    • so I wonder if they're finally ditching the 'most awarded brewery in the world'

I think they also still hold the record for most expensive Show Bag at the Royal Melbourne Show…

Just an FYI that I bought these and they were badly bottle conditioned which meant the beers were too fizzy to the point that they feel bad in the mouth. I've come across this a fair bit in craft beers - maybe it's Brewers struggling to move from kegs to bottles, maybe they struggle to meet demand.

Either way it was $10 completely wasted, they all went down the sink.

Ps I got them from the actual store mentioned in the post….

    • I'm surprised they even sell craft beers are Marrickville….

      • I'm surprised that you don't know Marrickville is home to Batch brewing and a stones throw from Willie The Boatman (St Peters), Grifter (Camperdown), Young Henrys (Newtown), Wayward (Enmore), and The Rocks (Alexandria)…..

black font is in marrickville too

        • @terminal2k:

Thanks did not know about this one. Shenanigans, Doctors Orders and Pixel were all brewing locally too, not sure about now though.

        • @p1owz0r:

last i heard shennanigans and pixel were brewing out of batch, but its been a while since I asked them where they were at. don't think doc has done anything around that area for a while. his bottled stuff is done over in brookvale and i think most of his kegs are out at rouse hill

  • purchased one of these a while back from BWS, same price, same mix of varieties.
the pale ale was incredibly bitter to taste, to the point where it wasn't drinkable, IMHO. if you've ever had the dundee IPA, then it was even more bitter than that.
the golden ale was ok but nothing to write home about.
the whole experience was pretty underwhelming.

    • Pale ale is meant to be bitter
