It's occurring this saturday[19/9/15] at Jamison park, penrith, from 1000-1400hrs.
There will be vets and animal trainers, to answer any questions as well.

  • Weird, they don't state a limit on dogs. I don't know if microchipping is required on a per LGA basis or not but here it is. I wonder (hope) they give immunity (correct term?) to those that come and have them chipped. Would be a good idea.

    • a lot of rescues give up on cats because they just wander and they get disheartened and think they can't stop the cycle so stop wasteing rescources where as dogs are easier to control

  • Please be aware that once you microchip you dog/cat you will have to register it as a companion animal and that will cost a registration fee to the local council.

Not sure what they do for the registration fee but it will cost. I don't know if that registration is included in the free micro-chipping.

    • companion animal

      pet?

      • the legislation requiring you to register the animal calls it a companion animal.

i wonder if i can get the boss to participate

    • Does your boss frequently wonder off and forget where he lives?

      • I suspect they pee on the ground.
