Not really a bargain, but you can apparently buy an Apple iPhone from Quikshop for $1,400 unlocked. Probably (actually most likely) a hacked US-iPhone so it can take an Australian GSM SIM, which means no warranty, no guarantee to work locally, and it will probably come with a charger good for 110V/60Hz. Not to mention that it is a lot to pay for a phone that does not even talk 3G.
But of course it is a bargain if you are so desperate to buy everything Steve Job is trying to sell :)
Wondering when will we benefit from the recent price drop? If the exclusive deal between Apple and AT&T still continue then it will still be a small bunch of people's toys.
On the other hand, it won't be as cheap as in states when it arrive in australia next year. (by that time, who knows the 3G version of iphone is released?)
