MobileCiti, the picture is of the blue 8S, not 8X.
Here's a proper picture for you to use: http://store.threestore.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/HTC-W…
I'm guessing why you haven't got any upvotes yet is because of that picture, as the previous 8X deal at $269 was gobbled up quickly.

    • Thanks, Changed!

Thanks for posting this REP. Can you do any deals on the Samsung Galaxy S3 4G? JB doing this unlocked for $499. Thanks.

    • +3

We will double check with supplier on Monday. We will try our best :)

      • Thanks, tried to get a PM at OW but refused because the colours were different. Anything under $470 and I'm in. Prefer to buy from you over the other retailers.

        • which OW sells this phone?

        • Most I believe. The two closest ones to me FTG and Vermont South both do. Only in black though.

      • Any news REP?

  • Problem fixed - nevermind :-)

Can someone give a decent review on these? They seam to be pretty decent but I'm a little concerned about two things:

    1. Its a windows phone (i.e. blue screen of death etc etc)
    2. Support for Apps (i.e. is there much in way of apps out there)?

    Cheers

      Blue Screen of death?

      Not on a phone mate,

      Plenty of apps available, www.windowsphone.com.au

      • You can get the blue boot loop of death. Which I had on my Lumia 920.

    • +2
      1. Windows Phone is different to Windows on your computer. As far as I know, you can't get a blue screen of death on a Windows Phone. The operating system itself is generally rock solid. No random crashes, force closes, locks, etc.
      2. Windows Phone has support for most of the popular apps but not all of them. If there is a particular app you need, you better check the Marketplace if they have it first.

why wasn't this on before :( Would have loved the blue version,

    Amazing deal as always

    • +1

I agree! Oh well can't complain with my black one- it's been great.

I know smartphones drop in price quick, but this is really unheard of. Excellent deal!

  • i bought this about 2months ago and was $300…vodafone branded.

Is this phone locked with Telstra? Can I use Virgin or Optus network?

  • +1

Was tempted to buy it to replace Mrs' Iphone 4 but then I read about the battery life. FML :(

Battery life is pretty good in general after the Windows Phone Portico update (Apart from some weird problems with displaying the correct %, think it's fixed now on mine).

Just my experience, I'm quite conservative user - turn off all unnecessary connections (NFC, Bluetooth, sometimes 3G) and I can get through a whole day with battery at the 60-ish.

  • Wow that was quick - now showing "Availability: Out of stock" - so I guess it sold out?

    • changed to "Availability: Pre-Order Now (ETA 17/06/2013)"

    • +1

      Stock qty fixed, try again!

  • Out of stock

    • lol..in like 20 mins

    • Should be able to order now, try again!

  • Out of stock already???

    • Hi maogua

as mention above stock no available till next monday, you have to Back order it.

  • How does this copmpare to the
    Nokia 520 and Nokia 620

    • this is better
16g storage and better cameras. front and back.
but lack of app though, nokia has much more apps.

    • I can say it is comparable spec to Lumia 820/920 (slightly Lumia's better IMAO)
but the price is in the same level with 520/620. Defo specification itself is much better than 520/620.

  • Only 500pcs avaliable … only 100 clicks. Somebody been greedy or error in stock count?

  • got this in black last time, a bit disappointed with camera but over all good phone.

  • This phones fallen over 50% in the past 2-3 months.

Great value for a cheap 4G phone!

  • +4

I don't need a phone but bought one.

  • +2

Too bad I already grabbed the black one on the previous sale, but been very happy with the phone so far (though I did have the HTC Mozart before, so coming from a WP background). Battery life is only so-so, I'm not a heavy user so it's OK, but that'd be the only concern I'd raise.

Definitely a great price overall and if my delivery experience is anything to go by you'll get it pretty swiftly too.

  • I m getting this when i click place order:
    Customer email is required

    • Hi Amir

We have some issue with paypal express checkout, investigate with paypal now, register as normal user should be ok. Sorry!

      • The whole website is down now.

        • OK finally ordered. Thanks.

        • thank you Amir

  • Does it come with any Telstra bloat wares? Any ways to get rid of them if there are?

    • +2

You can uninstall all stock Telstra apps on the device by holding down the app in the Settings menu and clicking Uninstall. Unlike Android you do not need to root the device to uninstall most carrier apps. The only exception will be the Telstra logo that is flashed once upon booting the phone.

  • How much better is the 8X compared to the 8S???

Is it worth more than double the money??

    • Yes,

The 8x is the larger version and also had 4G

Its like the 820 vs 920

      • Its more a case of 820 vs. 520, only 520 > 8S in term of real life usability since it comes with 8gb instead of 4gb in the 8S.

        • Yeah, plus Windows 8 phones don't save their apps to SD Cards, so it means 4gb is a true restriction.

I'm using Lumia 720(8gb) and already 4.2gb used.. I'm not a heavy phone user at all though. All the music and vids are in MicroSD Card..

        • Actually the 8x is equivalent to the 920 as it has the HD screen.

        • Which is about the only advantage it has over 820.

If you compare it to 920, 8X falls short in just about every category, minus the price of course.

        • I'd definitely rather the 920 if the prices were equal.

Still, I'd much prefer the 8X to the 820.

        • Each to their own.

Though I have to admit that 8X is gorgeous device, and cannot be turned down at this price.

  • I would be so keen on this if it had MicroSD! Damn.

  • Pretty gorgeous deal I can say..

Mobileciti are legends. No idea how they manage to keep things this cheap but they do. A pov from me.

    • thank you Paizuri

  • When are you guy's getting stock of this http://www.mobicity.com.au/nokia-301.html if ever?

    • +4

      You're confusing mobileciti with mobicity

  • I prefer the black one but such a good deal, it says pre-order now so Im guessing its out of stock atm but can I still order now? And has the Paypal issues been resolved yet?

    • Yes, Back order only!
Paypal express checkout issue only happen sometime and unregistered customer only.

  • Does it come any turn-by-turn navigation software?

    • Nokia drive is not yet available, but it potentially might be in the future.

Co-pilot is an excellent paid option for $30 though.

hey rep can you do a deal on the xperia sp pretty please?

    • +1

We will discuss with supplier on Monday :)

  • Hey rep, I just wanna confirm if this is compatible with Optus 4G ?

    • +1

Telstra has been marketing the handset as a 4G capable phone, and all 4G services in Aus currently operates on the same band - 1800 MHz. So yes, it should work with Optus 4G.

    • +1

      Yes, compatible with Optus 4G

      • Thanks I was suspicious as I found this in gsmarena and 1800 is not listed in 4G Network:
        4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100

  • Can you do a Note 2 deal anytime soon rep?

  • Ordered one even I like a different color.

  • Hi Rep, tried buying via direct deposit and got a receipt but no details to make a transfer???

I was getting the customer email required too when trying to check out with paypal.

Now im trying to create a new account, but everytime I click on view cart i get the following error

    Thanks .

    • Hi Oznawab, Please send an email to [email protected] with your order number and your full name, we will get back to you asap. thank you

      • Thanks mate!
        Done!

        • Replied, for safety issue can you remove your order number.

  • +2

It looks like an awesome phone with great specs, but my understanding is that if you rely heavily on google services (e.g. gmail, multiple gmail aliases, google calendar) that this phone will not be of much use to you. Pity… I'd bite if not for that.

    • +1

Microsoft offers a very solid ecosystem though.

      • Not about to abandon my Google Apps account though. I think if they want to compete with Android they will have to improve interoperability (although it's largely Google who prevents this).

      • How's the windows phone office (or office 365?) compared to google docs?

  • I get an error!?

There has been an error processing your request
SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1062 Duplicate entry '2770' for key 'PRIMARY'

Mod: Removed long trace of code.
