  • Honestly, what sort of a peanut would buy this.

Call me when you find an alternative that lets you see the picture you just took without waiting weeks for processing!

    • I have 2 albums full of them. They are great.

How about the Lego version for $17

Interesting - a non working 516 piece model, that spits out a choice of 3 'photos'.

      But linked price shows $72!
Almost half the price of a working camera in this Deal.

  • Surprised to see a newer version of the popular 1980's model.
Similar looking refurbished Polaroid 600 series sell for $250+

    Deal model has USB charging.
Uses film that does not contain batteries, like original.

Have a 1980's Polaroid 600 series. Once used for 'personal' shots😉 Now a curiosity.

Film still available for it, but needs to be used within a year & photos are expensive. Film contains a battery making it dearer.

So not used since digital cameras replaced the need for 'instant' photos.

    • What do you mean the film contains batteries?! Seems very interesting and I've never heard of it before!

Are you talking about this film for your 600 series? https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/polaroid-6…

Original 600 series had no battery in the camera. Battery was in bulky film pack.

It whirred when fresh film pack was loaded. Old pack often had dead batteries & did nothing.

Ripped a used film pack apart - it contained batteries.

This model uses rechargeable battery in camera.
Uses a different "i-type" Polaroid film pack

Haven't bought film in so many years. No need. Had fun with camera, when living with artists long ago! Have an old film pack somewhere, with film type.

Likely polaroid 600 colour film - as you linked.
Not that I will be buying at $39 for 8 photos!

Oh that's really cool! It reminded me of this manual Polaroid camera I saw when in Japan, it had a pull tab to take the photo!

          Thanks for enlightening me :)

@The-Real Team Doge: There are many variations of Polaroids. Have seen those.

Japan is the likely place to see rarer ones. A country where some people love nostalgia & get into very specific areas of a field.

Your question & this Deal brought back such memories. I used to have some old cameras, but they just were clutter, so sold most.

This Polaroid was a gift from an early girlfriend, so is special for that reason.

            So thank you!

  • Thanks OP, bought one. Shame about the cost of film!!
