I don't know much about tablets and specs, but maybe this isn't such a good deal? The large battery is good but it appears the snapdragon 665 in this tablet is even slightly worse than the g88 processor in the Lenovo M11, which seems to come down to roughly this price often. And the Lenovo comes with a stylus. Hopefully this TCL can be upgraded beyond Android 11 too? And only 6 months warranty is worthy of note.

    • The TCL TabMax seems don't have headphone jack and the USB-C port is on the top (source: OzBargain) compare to Lenovo M11.

    • It's a cheap Android tablet, of course it'll be kind of rubbish. That's a given.

    • This is being built to a price point. It isn’t right to expect M4 iPad performance.

I also noticed the 6 month warranty it must be a refurb all new products come with a 12 month warranty.

I've been in the market for a tablet around this price point. The galaxy tab s6 lite goes for roughly this price or a little lower on ebay second hand. I think that'd be a better buy.

If you buy this through MyDeal you can get $10 off bringing it to $250, there is currently 18% cashback (about $50 off) and you can get 1000 EDR points (about $5). So a bit more like $195 - maybe still not the best deal, but somewhat improved!

Android 11? Surely you can get a more recent Lenovo tablet at this price (or spend a little more and get a Samsung)?

  • Geekbench scores are very low on this soc.

  • Yeah, TCL ain't crash hot at updating their products.

  • This is a 2-3 year old tablet with a slower processor. OK for basic Web browsing but not much else.

  • Aldocube is faster and cheaper!
