Weber Family Q Roasting Pack $31.50 + Delivery ($0 with $50 Spend/ DJ Card/ C&C/ In-Store) @ David Jones

380

Roasting rack for Weber Family Q.

Also comes with 2 x trivet sheets.

RRP ~$55. On sale for $45 at David Jones plus another 30% off (price adjusted at cart stage).

I've tried baking racks and the like on my Weber, but they are a massive pain to clean. I'm hoping this is much better to use and clean/maintain.

This is a great price and $50 minimum for free delivery is pretty good for department stores.

The DJs page said 'Take an extra 30% off selected already reduced small appliances and consumer tech'. I didn't manage to find many other products that qualify although there are a few Weber accessories (old generation products?).

Technically the Weber Qs (Q2000) are on sale at an awesome price if $371, but availability looks very limited.

This looks similar to the inserts iny Kamado Joe smoker, and I put them directly in the dishwasher to come out looking brand new with zero effort. Hopefully this might be the same, but DYOR.

Cheers cook99. Hadn't thought of that!

The trivet rack is stainless steel, so I think would be fine in the dishwasher!

I have used a piece of $0 weldmesh for years.

    • They’re fine in the dishwasher.

Ours doesn’t always come out looking perfect, but it’s easy enough to get any remaining stuff off. The feet will get a coating of char over time, but that doesn’t matter. It’s quality stainless.

I like that David Jones thinks 'Express' delivery is 4 - 7 business days.

  • For the Convection Tray - are these washable? (As I saw they are also sold in pack of 10)

    • The convection trays are disposable, single use. If you need a washable multi use item check out Kaon online. (I am not affiliated but use one of their trays all the time). For those that asked, the rack cleans up easily, either by hand or in the dishwasher.

Stopped buying the trays a while back and just use 2 layers of alfoil (single long folded over) and poke about a dozen holes in it for drainage, haven't had any issues so far

Me too. I fold a piece over, and roll up the edges to match the rack. Pop it on the BBQ and use a butter knife to stab holes all along to match the grill plates. There is no difference in performance.

If the Weber trays were the same price as aluminium foil (or near to), then I would go with them hands down just for the ease of use. Unfortunately they're very expensive for what they are, and a couple of minutes spent folding and stabbing foil every cook saves a dollar or two.

    • I just use an old oven tray

I have one it works great, just be aware that the product will bend from the heat over time, it's still usable just won't look as neat as on the photo.

Sheesh, how hot your Weber getting?

  • I think this is out of stock.

Ordered one for delivery, received e-mail from DJs shortly afterwards informing me that they cannot fulfill the order, and will process a refund.

    • Same, just got an email. I have some other padding items to get over the free delivery. Will be cancelling these.
