HAVC Closing off a Duct Question

Hi All

Just a quick question about flexible duct hosing under the house.
At branch position wanted to basically cut a branch off- at the moment has like a Y connector- so basically want to cut off one of the ends - without replacing the Y connector - is there a way to seal off that Y section duct- like an end cap?

    Yes you could cap it.
    Can’t you close the vent in the room?

    Cut the end you would like removed with some length from the Y (Say 0.5-1m), tie a knot on itself with the 0.5-1m of flexi duct.

    Fold up the end of the flexible duct and seal with some duct tape.
