You last purchased this item on 12 Jun, 2023
      made in china

    • +4

The RRP is BS, you can get the exact same scissors from American shops for this price any day of the week.

      • +5

        from American shops

        But this isn't America

        • +6

Right, but just because Zwilling spend money on marketing and convinced god knows who here to charge $200, doesn't mean these aren't $19.99 scissors.

          • @AustriaBargain: Naturally everything will be cheaper in USA due to larger buying power.

            • +3

@easternculture: Fine, but these aren't $115 scissors. You aren't saving $88.42 buying these, you are paying $26.53.

              • @AustriaBargain: With Amazon you can out any RRP you want.
There are items with $30 RRP you can buy from the dollar shop for a few bucks

                YMMV

    • Inb4 someone makes these comments:

      So…jv?

  • I got a pair last deal, they seem sharp and good to me.

    • -4

Enjoy being a sheeple with your American priced sharp scissors that you enjoy for the price you paid.

      • +3

        Ok, I will.

  • +20

    Sharp price.

More than Zwilling to give these a go

Might even buy 2 and Shear with my inlaws

    • +1

      Nice 😂😂

  • Good enough for JDM good enough for me

  • +1

What are you guys using these for? Because would these be worth multiple pairs of cheap scissors?

I have a set of global knives, and now wonder if I could have just bought cheaper knives and gotten pretty much similar use out of them.

    • +8

I use mine to cut open zooper doopers

    • I use normal store bought ones to cut meat when I don’t feel like washing a chopping board and a knife. Some times it’s a lot easier to trim fat and whatnot too.

    • +1

Yep, I was going for Global too but then I read that Victorinox knives are good as well for cheaper. No regrets and higly recommend for house cooking.

      • +1

Agree. I have global and the little grip divets get impossible to clean grime on them. I'm sure they are better quality from a technical standpoint but from Victorinox up theres gotta be diminishing returns to the utility of them from the extra that you pay. Either way, I prefer the black wood handles to use over the shaped steel of global.

        • Yes exactly. I feel like the Global handles are not very ergonomic comapared to Victorinox's Fibrox handle

    • we have 3 pairs of kitchen scissors. One pair is always migrating to another room for some inexplicable reason. One pair in the dishwasher. One pair hopefully is on hand… hopefully. Am thinking a 4th pair is on the cards.

  • Snip at this price

      These look good

    • +2

Thanks for this bought this instead

Read the reviews on op everyone complained they receieved made in China one and not Germany

    • +1

This should be fake made in Japan…. Similar ones sell for 2aud each on 1688, all printed made in Japan. Anyway the real made in Japan scissors are expensive, no way around 20aud.

      • +2

I don't care where these are made. They are the best scissors I've ever had.

      • +2

The cool part about Japan is that they have items that are made in Japan at all price points. I have seen AU$40 santoku knives, made in Japan, sold at the proper knife museum, alongside the $700 santoku knives at the same place. The difference is whether the scissors are mass produced by machine stamping, or if they are hand made by shaping and grinding.

The cheap made in China ones you are referring to, they sell on Amazon at 2 pieces for $19.22. https://www.amazon.com.au/Japanese-Stainless-Kitchen-Scissor…

    • Handle might not be very comfy. Prefer a bit of a soft grip plastic/rubber.

      • +2

Stuff the comfy when I am cutting through chicken wings, hands full of chicken fat/oil and meat everywhere!

    • Do these come apart so you can clean the pivot?

      • Just looked at mine and it appears so. One of the pivot sides has sheared edges so you can fit a spanner or whatever. The other side doesnt but is nonetheless exposed. Reckon it comes apart.

    • Looks good, notice the one you linked is all metal handle while there are different coloured handles sold by diff sellers, would you happen to know if there are any differences?

      • +1

Beats me mate. I have shared all that I know in the above!

  • -4

Good for snipping anti semites, if you hate them become them

  • -1

    Snapped up a pair, thanks!

    • +2

Guess you'll need another pair then!

  • This ZWILLING Twin L is $250 made in Germany

    • Bought the one OP posted last year and try to return it(the pics was made in German one) but amazon dont recycle rubbish and give me refund without recycle it afterwards bought made in German ones for $90ish,doesn't make any difference if they both new but I want a sissors that I can use lifetime and less sharpening so German one is good to trust.

    • +1

Is that any different to this https://www.myer.com.au/p/zwilling-twin-multi-purpose-shears… same number on blade and says made in Germany too.

And that's what Myer charges, only (profanity) shop at Myer. I think these Zwilling prices are bullshit. These are not $250 scissors. Y'all fooling yourselves.

  • Sure for this price. But don't expect for it to be Made in Germany.

    • I want the real deal.

  • $4 from temu

    • Plus you get a little hand written letter as well!

  • +1

Just a note. These imported Japan ones are made in China. The ones that are made in Germany will have prints on scissors itself. Price itself is alright but don't expect much compared to German counterparts.

    • yeah….well I want the real ones, not Chinese ones.

  • Ordered 2 lets keep figure cross!
    By the way,Thanks

  • Ive had oxo scissors for 4 years and they're great

    AWinjoy Kitchen Scissors, Heavy… https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B73TBQQ3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_s…

Bought this one a few months ago and OMG it felt illegal to own one of these!

Don't be fooled by the picture, its very solid and the blades are thick as!

Ps I had a pair of Joseph x2 and no comparison what so ever.

    • Similar to the ones I linked above and the same feeling I have when using them. I was like scissors can be this good and I dont have to own janky ones that break?

      • +2
