I have not used this app before, but it appears to be similar to popular writing apps like Ulyssess. License key appears to be tied to device. No account needed so that's great.

The link to gumroad website has been provided so all you need to do to claim is enter the promo code, email and complete Captcha.

THE PROMO CODE IS NOT THE LICENSE KEY.

Downloaded let's see how is it and what it can do, thank you OP

Downloaded as well because it's free. But not sure what this does that Word/Notes on PC can't.

I watched their 5-min vid. It seems to be aimed at writing a report/thesis and basically does what Word+Endnote can do except in a more user-friendly way. The workflow for referencing is much easier.

  • Got it. Thanks OP.

    Windows protected your PC
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

Windows does that whenever it can't identify the publisher.
      It's fine :)

      • It’s not really difficult to get on the verified publisher list. To be honest it’s lazy and makes me wonder what other shortcuts they’re taking.

        • They're planning on going through the process. I spoke with them.

Wouldn't Microsoft charge a fee for this?

don't need to download the app to purchase a free license, so here is a direct link to purchase page

thanks, this worked. I tried putting the code in the app as per the instructions by OP but got the same error as one of the users above.

It provides you a 12 days trial period. You can enter the license key in the application in order to use MonsterWriter forever.

might spin up a VM for all the software like this so i can reinstall windows without concern.

  • Thanks OP, downloaded & activated on my mac without any issues :)

  • App on the phone available?

    I have signed up

    Thank you worked perfectly.

The license key I got was different to nepaus so they are unique.

I precisely followed the instructions by the OP and it worked for me without hitch.

The app has a minimalist interface for distraction free writing. This won't suit most people. I see that if you create a PDF it sends your text to their servers for processing. Hmmm. I'd be more worried if it wasn't a German developer but still something to be aware of.

    • That's interesting… Is there a way to export it without them receiving the copy?
