  • This or a brand new set from Bunnings for $200 more? I got it price-beaten and haven't picked it up yet.

New from Bunnings solely for the returns/warranty support. Had one of these cameras die due to an issue with the battery within 3 months. Easy replacement with Bunnings.

      • Apart from the incident with the battery, how do you rate these? I already have a E340 doorbell, but haven't used it. It can work without the Homebase tho.

Did you do any research in particular? Some articles/vids that convinced you to buy? As you can see, I'm still on the fence.

Had mine for over a year and a half no issues yet

Watched a bunch of youtube vids on cams. It was a price/feature set/ease of installation combo.

Got these to install at my parents' old Queenslander so hardwiring was out of the question.
The app is very easy to use for my relatively tech literate boomer parents.
Solar top up means there's generally very little maintenance required (assuming the battery works…)
Ai facial recognition works pretty well too.

1 of 4 cameras failed due to what I suspect was a dodgy connection to the internal battery. No issues with the rest.
No 24/7 recording since they're wireless, if that's what you want; event recording only.

I personally prefer a wired setup but that requires more cost in installation. The app side of things is quite a bit worse on my current Dahua NVR setup.

Exactly…. I was quiet impressed by the reviews BUT….. these cameras are so crap … I found out after spending thousands of dollars

        • You are the first (?) person stating that across all the Eufy deals that I've seen in the past months.

Which brand do you consider a quality brand?

    • That's a great deal, but I'm unable to find the Amazon listing the comments mention. Hopefully it comes up again at that price, I'd do what you did.

      • +2

Yeah, that was quite an opportunity. Might be the cheapest so far for a brand new set.

Having said that, these refurbs happen only for the second time and I remember the first time, a couple of months ago, I regretted not getting a refurb set at that price.

Also if somebody's after a brand new 2-pack w HB3, here it is for $829.17 delivered with code APR17. Might be a bit more with APR15 for non-plus users.

got the 2c pros from the last deal for 400. absolute game changer ive got 5 acres and run them all round the house. even put one in the chook shed for mum. had to buy a 2nd homebase and extend my mesh wifi routers around the property but it's amazing.

Get the warranty on a new set for sure. I bought a 4pk of these and after 9months the solar panel film started coming off(cosmetic only) and they sent me brand new replacements. I have 8 of these now, still a great product apart from the old protective film on the solar panel, i think its fixed now with newer production models

    • What’s the warranty on a new set? Is it longer than 12 months?
Edit: apparently new camera warranty is also 1 year

      • +2

That's the manufacturer's warranty, but it would be covered for 2 years by customer law. Refurbished items are probably not.

Happy to be corrected re the nuances here.

        • Hello my friend, where does ACL talk about 2 Years of warranty ? It says reasonable time which can be a subjective matter and open for discussion.

          That is my understanding

          • @rs0123: Yup, states "reasonable time".

If it's a flimsy $3 toy, "reasonable time" wouldn't be the same as $2k RRP set of electronics. I've been under impression that 2 years has been long established expected coverage, perhaps somewhat following EU's mandatory 2-year warranties.

If it says its battery lasts 180 days, you would reasonably expect you'd have an opportunity to charge it at least several times.

    • Did you contact Eufy directly or your retailer ?
My S330 located 4m away . One has the film peeling off and charge well. The other did not peel but start to drop its charging ability.

      • start to drop its charging ability.

As in doesn't charge as fast (beause of the solar panel or the battery) or as much (because the battery capacity dropped)? I assume you can tell via the app, but IDK.

Also what is it "located 4m away" from and how long have you used it?

        • The cameras are positioned under my garage eaves. One facing my driveway, one facing my garden entrance.

I swap the cameras position around to see if the sun somehow is less during summer in the past 3 months.

Looks like the one that is losing its charge still max out at 63% even after I reset it and max charge it to 100% with usb charger.

Camera is approx 18 months old now.

          • @bnh: Thanks + wow, the S330 model is older than I thought.

  • I'm another huge fan for the grade C refurbs.

Refurbished Grade C is the lowest cosmetic quality of a refurbished phone or laptop still in working order. Although refurbished Grade C devices have been tested, cleaned, and confirmed to work, they show signs of intense usage by their previous owner.

You will see very noticeable cosmetic issues in a refurbished Grade C device, including more significant scratches and signs of wear and tear on the case or lid. Grade C devices are cheaper than Grade A and Grade B items, making them ideal for those who need a new phone or laptop but have less money to spare.

      • I have bought the C 2k pros 4 pack and I honestly couldn't even tell they'd been used. All packaging was new and they've worked great.

Be mindful of Eufy's support on refurbished items.

I purchased a refurbished pack with 2 C3 cameras and a Homebase 3. One camera doesn't work any further than about 2 - 3 meters from the home base. I contacted support and initially they were responsive, until they said they'd escalate the issue to their 'senior tech team'. Ever since it's been radio silence, no matter how many emails I send.

I started a chat with Anker and they quickly confirmed its a defective camera, but couldn't do anything beyond redirecting me to myEufy which is no help.

  • its $1424.32 on JB Hifi commercial - has anyone had any luck with Bunnings matching this?

    • It’s 1327 on eBay with 17% off code

      • Does Bunnings match eBay with disc code?

        • Sorry I didn’t mean to respond to your post
I’d be surprised if they matched ebay at all

  • I received mine a couple of days ago and have just finished installing them. Cant fault the condition definitely not c grade they are as close to new in box as possible without being new in box. Arrived in in full retail packaging only thing missing was the protective plastic film on the camera lenses that you take off once you install. The mounting hardware and cables all appear to be new as does the home base the cameras I would be inclined to say were barely used only indication they have been used was lack of film on the lenses and very very minor marks

    • Mine are the same. Installed and working well …. So far 😁

  • Is homebase 3 worth the upgrade?

    OOS

  • Back in stock, just bought one.

  • Title: Disappointing Experience with Refurbished Eufy Cam 3c 4 Pack
On April 2, 2024, I purchased a set of refurbished Eufy Cam 3c 4 Pack with Home Base 3 (Grade C) directly from the Eufy website. As a refurbished product, I expected some physical blemishes, which were clearly stated in the product description, and I have no complaints about that aspect.
However, upon activation, I discovered that one of the cameras was not working. I immediately raised this issue with Eufy's customer support on April 9, 2024. To my disappointment, their initial response was to provide irrelevant troubleshooting steps that did not address the problem at hand.
When I clarified that their suggested steps were not the issue, they replied with a message stating, "I'll escalate your ticket to our Senior Tech Team to further assist you. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated." Since then, despite sending reminders, I have not received any further response or resolution to my problem.
It is frustrating to invest in a product, even a refurbished one at a whopping $750, only to find that it does not function as intended. Moreover, the lack of proper customer support and timely resolution from Eufy has been incredibly disappointing. As a customer, I expect a company to stand behind their products and provide adequate support when issues arise.
Recently, I also noticed that one of the cameras is not holding enough charge and only lasts for one week. Basically, these so-called refurbished products are rubbish at a hefty price. It seems that they are not actually refurbished but are instead complaint pieces returned to Eufy and resold to others without any repairs. I feel ripped off and cheated.
In conclusion, my experience with Eufy's refurbished Cam 3c 4 Pack has been utterly disappointing. The non-functioning camera, poor battery life, and lack of proper customer support have left me feeling cheated and ripped off. I strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious when considering Eufy's refurbished products, as they may not be genuinely refurbished and could lead to a frustrating and costly experience.
