Is it easy, if not heavy, comparing to 'normal' mattress to move to different room ?

    • We own a Koala Soul Mate Mattress - King (definitely suggesting two people to lift, changing sheets alone is very possible; but a bit of a task).
We also have a Koala Mattress - King Single & Queen - this is most comfortable IMO (even better than the soul mate one). I'd suggest about the same as a normal mattress; but more flexible (which helps on KSB for manoeuvring, but not King; as its awkward to hold).
I personally haven't seen/bought/lifted the Koala Mattress SE, or the Koala Plus Mattress.

There are specifications on each page under "Dimension". Koala Mattress King Single is 23.6kg

  • Are they still made in Australia or 100% in China now?

  • After a lot of toing and froing, I just recently bought the origin hybrid, mainly due to price. Has anyone had experience with both origin and koala? I find the origin a little firm but only slept in it one night. Would have went with koala if it was on sale but thinking there might not be a big difference in quality?

  • I bought a Koala Plus mattress a few weeks ago, full price for $1,690 using Afterpay.

With the Afterpay Day, it now sells for $1,267.50.

I am still within the 120 night trial offer. You reckon I can return this mattress and buy the same one with the 25% discount? That's $422 in savings!

I'd write to them via live chat, they may well match it! Would beat processing a return! :)

You were right. I messaged Koala yesterday using the online chat on their website, I only write "price match" in the subject and nothing else. Today I received an email saying that they have refunded $451.75 back onto the original payment method. Amazing!

A lot of these homewares were in the Clearance section of the website yesterday where they were cheaper than they are TODAY even with a "sale". Now, conveniently, the Clearance section is gone. Wonder if the ACCC would care.

  • I think the Koala Mattress range is selling cheaper in Costco for the week?

  • has anyone got or used their sofa beds?
thinking to reclaim space in our rarely used spare bedroom and remove the queen bed for a sofa bed.

    • +1

I can confirm that their queen sofa bed is fantastic to use. My parents stayed over for a holiday for ~3 months and slept on it every night and they loved how comfortable it was and much better then other sofa beds that they used.

      • nice! Not too low to the ground for the parents? that's my main concern.
        Which one did you get?

        • +1

Obviously them being older and less mobile, so getting up in the night etc could be a slight problem depending on who is using it, but as mentioned, they used it for 3 months and being low to the ground wasn't a deal breaker. It was the Queen Cushy Sofa Bed.

          • @havz222: To be specific - the model was Cushy Sofa Bed V2- Queen - Gumleaf
