Which TV to Buy from below List? (LG & Samsung)

Basically I have scanned all Black Friday deals, and below is the list:

Mini-LED: 75" LG QNED86: $2,400
OLED 65 : 65" LG G3 : $3,000
OLED 65 : 65" Samsung S90C : $2,900
OLED 77 : 77" Samsung S90C : $4,400
OLED 77 : 77" LG C3 : $3,800

I want the TV to last for 8-10 years as they used to, if I go for 77" OLED. And my worry is burn-ins of course. Is there something about these panels that I should just stay away from some models?

Secondly, if I want to go with sub-$3,000, should I go with smaller 65" OLED, or go with larger 75" Mini-LED of LG mentioned above?

My Usage— I don’t do gaming at all. Movies/TV shows, documentaries, etc. is my family usage. Typically, 8-9 Hours/day is my family’s consumption. This will be in living room. Natural light is workable either way.

Damn, where are you getting the 77" c3 for $3800?

    • OP obviously doesn't want to share any of these deals

    • I am getting 1 coupon code 20% OFF on anything LG from my corporate portal. That's how all LG prices are low.
Samsung is low on JB website.

that's awesome, its a great deal (: - I went with the C3 after doing research, seems like a lot of community has something against samsung's QC and support. But honestly, I've never had an issue with samsung.

Main arguments between the two c3 vs s90c:
        - Dolby Vision
        - WOLED vs QD-OLED
        - some people have been saying LGs have been making OLEDs for longer so more reliable
        - Samsung's colour tend to pop more, where are LG seems more natural
        - People don't like Samsung's OS

Either way I don't think you can go wrong.

LG C3 / LG seem to be on top of the game for preventing burn ins.

If you don't mind a bit of blooming around the HDR bright spots then miniLED is fine, and you can save your money for the microLED/"nanoLED" upgrade sooner.

As you won't be gaming on it, you won't have to worry about burn-in. Go this one: 77" LG C3

    • Still kind of do if you always use subtitles… It will take a lot longer for permanent image retention to occur these days, but it will eventually happen. If not a heavy subtitle user, then I would go G3 or S90C.

Lg c3. I have lg g1 for about an year or so. Its brilliant. Burn ins not really an issue if its mixed usage.

    OLED end of story

Go with the C3 but with any OLED panel make sure you read up about the panels life span and image retention over those 8-10 years. Some claim an OLEDs picture quality will diminish after 10000 hours when used at a high brightness setting.

    get the 83" c3 for 5k

  • The 77” S90C can be had for $3688 - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/813605?utm_source=searchal…

Go with either of the 77” OLED’s, you won’t regret it. Ps. Burn in is not nearly as much of a thing as people make out, I am yet to see any on newer models.
