  • Woke up at 7am for nothing (QLD time).

Added 8 cards to the cart last night (mixed of HIM/EATS) after logging in to my Auspost account.

This morning the cart has been cleared.

Try to add HIM cards and it says max limit is 2, then kept crashing on checkout.

    • Same, shame shame AusLost.

    • You have to feel for those Western Australians who woke up at 5am ;p

  • +1

Added three ultimate him, pressed add to cart, went to cart and it was empty.

      • I bought them. Have confirmation email (8:04am).

    • question is did you actually purchase? or just get it in your cart for it to crash?

  • +1

Can't get any card. Poor planning by Aus Post for this promo…

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below…

  • Crazy. Crash and burn.

  • Logged in at 8:06 and cards were OOS already.

    • they were OOS at 8:03

      • +1

They were showing OOS even before that.

        • +1

Yeah I checked last night, all the $100 denominations were already OOS

  • haha basically

    • You're always late mate.

  • Website down :)

  • access denied, only the gift card section is denied

    • The entire online shop is down.

      • can still access the home page and even calculate my postage

  • +3

I suspect this is a publicity stunt. Someone losses money here. Think about it. Not all retailers would give such heavy discounts to the card network company. And then coles / auspost may contribute some but not all of the cost. Very likely TCN has to show sales at the end of the year to attract investors. This way, they show growth when actual sales are likely very low with normal prices. So what do they do, provide a limited stock and run such sales to show demand.

What did AusPost think was going to happen? Poor planning and demand forecasting on their front

  • Bought these from BigW 3 store days ago at 10% Off - Not sure if promo is still there.
Aus Post Shop seems still cant handle customer….neither in store or online. The shop portal is down…showing like a Ddos attack.

    • unlikely to have been 3 days as I went Tues and Fri last week and couldn't get the discount the latter time.
either way that deal is up

      • when I picked the 500$ one and the discount was not working. but the 100$ one and 50$ was working. so I took those with self checkout.

Pakenham store manager had the advertisement removed as I had to hassle with why 500$ one not working.

        • you had a lucky register or something my friend.
I bought a couple $50 on the Tues without issue and when I returned on Friday tried both $50 and variable and neither came with any discount

          • @JDMcarfan: Yup, the manager had to bring 100$ ones from the back office for me…their were only 50$ or 30$ ones in store.

I.T. at Auspost: “we have DDos attack since 8am”

The Him cards were already out of stock before 8:05am.
Also they were marked as discounted prior to 8:05am as well.

  • Reckon Coles deal is much better coz its checkout won't be crashed by too many customers but will just be slower. Didn't Auspost ever think about a queue system like Mycar and PPQ?

  • I checked last night. and was holding 10x in each category. The cart had a life till 2am atleast…now all gone..appearently cant take more then 1x ine ach category, but yes the shope website seems down and cant do anything.

  • eshop is closed.

    • Out for toilet break - Back in few hours….

      • Don't forget to flush and wash your hands

  • I'll rather stay away from aus post, site is dodgy. Don't want to be chasing bank for my money

  • +4

I looks like some insider task….maybe for employees or relatives trying to make profit…
This sale or information was not advertised in their regular website earlier.

The cards were not available from around 8:02am

Now somebody from inside, or employees could have both heaps and now they can show all are gone because it was in huge demand…we are just witness for it maybe

also two incomplete info here in post:
    1) it was on sale from 8:00am not 8:05am as listed in that post (which was misleading, so all went out in those 2-3 minutes even if they sold anything in real)
    2) the max allowed was 2 only for public (unlike other days)
    that also didn't work
so yes as somebody said maybe publicity stunt or maybe for employees
