eBay Auto Parts Order - Should I Order from VIC or NSW ?

so I live in VIC and was wondering if I should order automotive parts from VIC or NSW. I am worried about returning the items if they dont match what I want and both sellers atm dont have free returns.

Is it not easier to buy from auto stores? Or are you buying fairly rare/unique part that aren't normally stocked?

    • its cheaper on ebay and this is for a second hand car so cant afford new better quality ones

wherever it is cheap, some ebay sellers have brick and motor stores as well or if you have ebay plus, you will have free returns as well

    • same price. will check ebay plus terms for that seller .thanks

With eBay purchases just because you order from one state/store doesn't mean it'll actually come from there.

Many sellers have multiple stores online and whoever has the stock will post it to you.

Your item may even come from China via a drop shipper, it's often the luck of the draw.

If you can buy the item from a brick and mortar store, as already suggested, it is often less hassles in the long run.

    • The VIC seller has a store in Dandedong so I can atleast talk to them.

  • Although a late post as I just joined, as a retired mechanic tech I buy nearly all my car parts online in oz or from overseas suppliers much cheaper than brick and mortar stores.
My experience helps with correct purchases so rarely have problems.
Majority of parts in oz are from overseas so I delete the middle man.
If I need in a hurry of course I have to go to local shop otherwise I wait and save.
Do your homework and buy with confidence.
